English Curriculum

Our English curriculum helps pupils build confidence in using English for learning, communication and enjoyment. Pupils develop their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills through meaningful classroom experiences.

How We Teach

Our English lessons are carefully planned to support language development at every level. We use a task-based approach so that pupils learn English through meaningful activities such as speaking tasks, reading response, writing practice, pair work and group work.

Reading Development

Reading is integrated into regular English lessons. Through a wide range of texts, pupils build vocabulary, comprehension skills and confidence in using English.

NET Co-Teaching

Two Native-speaking English Teachers (NETs) co-teach with local English teachers in reading lessons at both junior and senior levels. This gives pupils more opportunities to hear natural English, join interactive activities and build confidence in speaking and understanding the language.
